Instructor Hiring Procedure

Degree Requirement
Prospective instructors who are interested in teaching the following eight courses should have either a Master Degree or a Doctoral Degree in the field of Business Management, Business, Economics, Accounting, Financing or related business backgrounds.

BUS 335 Issues in Management
ORG 445 Human Resources Management
INS 301 Integrative Studies--leadership
ORG 415 Organizational Behavior
BUS 360 Managerial Marketing
BUS 340 Managerial Accounting
BUS 355 Managerial Finance
BUS 450 Strategic Planning

Prospective instructors who are interested in teaching the following two courses should have either a Master Degree, a Doctor Degree or a Doctoral Degree in the field of Education, Psychology, Human Resources Management or related educational backgrounds.
FP290-I Career Management
FP290-II Experiential Education

Teaching Period Requirements
The teaching period for the full time instructor shall last about one regular Chinese school semester (about five to six months). There are two kinds of teaching systems, one is semester teaching and the other is intensive teaching. For the semester teaching, the Instructor shall teach minimum ten classes within one semester. For the intensive instructor, two months for four classes will be the minimum request.  For both of the teaching systems, the instructor shall teach two classes in the total of 90 lecture hours per month.

Document Requirements
Prospective instructors shall prepare the following documents send directly to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs of keuka college or forward to Xiamen Office of Keuka China Programs International – KCP(Xiamen) by fax, email or post.
(1) Curriculum Vitae/Resume
(2) Copy of Diploma
(3) Copy of Transcript (if the instructor is later qualified to teach in China, an OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT is required)
(4) Copy of Passport
(5) Two Recommendation Letters from related teaching industry; or documents, which demonstrate related teaching experiences in the field.

Academic Evaluation
Instructor for Keuka China Programs are hired according to the contractual arrangements between KCP and Keuka College. Prospective instructors should submit a current resume or curriculum vitae along with official transcripts from all schools attended for consideration to KCP.
Following the initial review, potential candidates will be given an telephone interview with the Associate Vice President for Professional Studies and International Programs, who will make the final hiring recommendation and confirm the courses that the new instructor is qualified to each. The instructor will be required to sign a contract with KCP to deliver Keuka College coursework as outlined in the Instructor Agreement.
Prior to finalize the initial teaching assignment, the following documents must be on file with the Office of the Provost at Keuka College:
(1)     Current Resume or Curriculum Vitae
(2)     Official  degree Transcripts
(3)     Signed Instructor Agreement
(4)     Letter of Appointment

Lecture fee
As the agreement, the instructor will receive the lecture fee paid by KCP . The payment shall be pursuant to the Agreement in which the Instructor is established as an independent contractor and whereby the Instructor agrees to be responsible for paying his or her own related income tax.

Instructor Contract

The agreements and the Release of Waiver are required to sign before teaching by three parties that is the Instructor, KCP representative and Chinese Partner Universities.
